Outpatient Tubal Reversal (Tubal Microsurgery) |
The total cost for the surgical procedure is $4,500.* This includes:
- Review of old operative notes and pathology results
- Consultation with Dr. Pabon
- Sperm count
- Preoperative visit
- Preoperative CBC (blood count)
- Surgery
- Outpatient recovery
- Post-operative visit
Performance of any of the components above in any other lab outside
Fertility Center and Applied Genetics of Sarasota Florida, Inc. does not result in any type of credit
to the patient.
The $4,500 global fee does not apply to patients in higher risk
categories who require additional surgical time. This includes patients
with multiple prior abdominal surgeries or other conditions that
may predispose the patient to intra-abdominal scar tissue.
Patients who are excluded from the $4,500 global fee may still
undergo the outpatient tubal reversal procedure at a higher cost,
depending on the additional required surgical time.
Patients are encouraged to have routine pre-conception laboratory
tests through their primary care doctor. These include:
- Rubella IgG titer
- Hepatitis B Surface Antigen
- Hepatitis C Antibody
- RPR
- HIV screen
Please note that the American College of Ob/Gyn has recommended
that all Caucasians should undergo a Cystic Fibrosis Genetic Carrier
Screen prior to conception. This is based on a 1 in 25 chance of
being a carrier for C.F., the most common lethal genetic disease
in Caucasians. Other ethnic groups should consult with their Ob/Gyn
about what other tests are available for them. Examples of these
include Sickle Cell screen for African Americans and Tay Sachs disease
screening for Jewish couples.
Dr. Pabon is a fellowship-trained Reproductive Endocrinologist. A
Reproductive Endocrinologist is a physician with special training
in the subspecialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology called Reproductive
Endocrinology & Infertility. As such, Dr. Pabon treats reproductive
problems at all levels from simple ovulation induction to super-ovulation
(controlled ovarian hyper-stimulation) with artificial insemination.
In addition, he performs reconstructive endoscopic and microsurgical
procedures. Dr. Pabon is one of the very few surgeons who perform
outpatient microsurgical tubal reversals. In summary, Dr. Pabon has
brought a state-of-the-art Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
practice to the Suncoast.
*The above fees are subject to timely change.
"The clinic may add charges for extensive e-mail
or
other communication prior to an office consultation."
